So much more than just pictures! Mr. Garvey creates precious keepsakes that will be passed on for generations! Along with taking beautiful pictures, Mr. Garvey is excellent with children. He was able to work magic with both our toddlers (ages 1 & 2) and no tears! He knew when our children needed a little break and he and Kathy provided an easy, relaxed, no-rush environment. When it came time to sit and review our photos, Kathy was wonderful! She helped us keep track of the pictures we had taken of our first child so that we would have the same of our second. Kathy even helped us combine pictures so that both of our children’s best poses were combined into a single photo. You will not find a better photography studio that is as skilled in creating a welcoming environment as it is in capturing beautiful memories!

If you are looking for good solid family photography, Charles Garvey studios is a good place to go. I have seen their work over the past ten years and it is consistently good. The poses are relaxed and not as staged and stiff as some studio results. The color and lighting is professional and the paper quality used is excellent. This is a great place for individual or group photos.

Charles Garvey is a master of lighting! He can take years off you by adjusting the lighting. We joke that I did not look THAT WONDERFUL that day when we get the proofs back. He works magic. He also has a way with children. He does charge setting fees, but he will work with you for over an hour to get your child comfortable to get that heirloom picture.
He is not inexpensive, but you get wonderful quality work.

For over 22 years “Charleygarvey” (all one word) has been more an extended family member than “just” our family photographer.
