CHARLES GARVEY
Charles Garvey has been a full time professional photographer in Knoxville for over 29 years. After graduating from The University of Tennessee, he received a certificate in still photography from STIK(now Pellissippi State in Knoxville) where he then taught photography for three years. He is a Past President of the Smoky Mountain Professional Photographers, and Past President of the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association. He holds the Tennessee Service Degree and Certified Degree. In addition to numerous print and service awards, in 2001 he was honored with the Professional Photographers of America National Award for outstanding service to professional photography. He was awarded the Southeastern Award in 2007 for service to, and the promotion of, professional photography. In 2008, he was inducted into the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association Hall of Fame. In 2010, Charles was awarded the Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America.
BRETT GARVEY
Brett Garvey has worked with Garvey Photography for over three years as a photographer and digital artist. He grew up in Knoxville in the household where the family business first began. Brett has always expressed an interest in capturing life, from literature, to video and photography. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media at The University of Tennessee and continues to learn from the teachings of his father. Brett’s specialty with teens is evident in his fresh perspective combined with classical elements of portraiture. His creative edge is born from a knowledge of modern technology and traditional composition. Brett is a member of Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of East Tennessee, and the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association. Brett hopes to identify with those who seek new ideas as well as those who admire classic portraiture.

We specialize in Studio Photography and Location Photography. Our sessions can be Indoors or Outdoors, at your very own Home, in the Park or our Wildflower Garden, by the Lake or in the Mountains. We will work with you to photograph your ideal session. We do not photograph weddings because we choose to concentrate on exceptional portraiture as our specialty.
